Had a fairly good nights sleep, - not too bad with 2 girls snoring in the bed next to me!! Early morning call, plus mobile phone alarm set and television alarm set just in case. Got to Terminal 3 at 7, and checked in quickly.
The London Heathrow flight was fab, half an hour in the sky and as long taxiing on the ground to find a parking space, (so it seemed). Wish the Halifax flight was as short!!! Anyway, after an uneventful, perfectly good flight, we landed slightly late at about half 3 local time. The customs officer however, took her time to question us thoroughly, even asking where the girls dad was. She explained we should have brought a letter which authorised me to take them out of the country without him!!!! Cheek! Convinced her, we would be returning, and I wasn't abducting the girls, so we were allowed in!
Got the 'economy' car - no problem - its ace!! A PT Cruiser (or a Chrysler in the UK!!) and found the hotel without too much problem too (good job as I'm feeling a bit tired now!)
Hotel is great, of course the girls wanted to go in the gym, for a swim and to the shops immediately!! We ended up going for a walk, going in a couple of shops, then jumping in the pool for a swim! Our room opens out on to the pool, so couldn't be better (just need to make sure the curtains are closed before prancing round naked in the room!!)
We decided to go for another walk after showering, as we wanted to try and go to bed as late as possible - to help with the time difference!
Bed at 10pm - all absolutely shattered now!!!!
