Why am I awake at half 4am!!!! Anyway back to sleep and managed until 7.30, when we were all wide awake! Wow!!
Was dragged straight into the gym - strange how quiet it is at that time! Very impressed, all the machines have tv's, so did my customary basic routine, then back to the room to freshen up before breakfast! How can one, have a workout before a cup of tea!!
We found somewhere we fancied for breakfast, and asked concierge how long it would take us to walk there. 15 minutes was her reply, so off we go!! After half an hour brisk walk up hill, we found our place - absolutely fantastic - and worth every minute of walking. Sadly what we ate, just cancelled out last nights swim. this mornings gym session and our power walk there and back - but, it was amazing!!
Surprisingly, its really warm, just thinking I might not have packed the right sort of clothes to last me 3 weeks!!
Next stop is to the shopping mall - so its into the car - and off! Charlotte our navigator managed very well, and we got there easily! Prices, are not cheap however, which was a bit disappointing, we were expecting to buy everything for nothing!!!
After shopping I decided we would take a trip to Peggys Cove, which looked very close on the map! An hours drive later, we arrive at Peggys Cove - wonderful views, a lighthouse and that was it really!!! Took a couple of pics to say we'd been, then it was back to the hotel again!!
Another freshen up and half hour chill - then down to the hotel restaurant for dinner on the veranda seeing as though it was such a gorgeous evening! The food was very over the top - (options such as Fois Gras, Casoulet etc etc scared the girls into salad and something from the kids menu for Florence!!) My seafood pasta was gorgeous though!!
One of my great ideas of the day, was to catch the ferry to Dartmouth (across the other side of the harbour) and maybe spend a couple of hours there! The 10 minute ferry ride was wonderful and the views fantastic.... but when we arrived, there was absolutely nothing there - we had to literallly catch the next one back again. (I was so glad they ran every 15 minutes!!!)
Back for a wander along the harbour front, then into the pool for a late night swim.
