Checked out of our room, packed the car, and headed off for one last walk down the Baywalk (via Burger King and Tim Horton's for breakfast).
Decided to take the scenic route to our next destination - and stop at West Point beach and harbour on the way. A little surprised at how strange the beach was - not at all as it was described in one of the information booklets. Anyway, killed an hour sitting on the beach, before setting off again. Literally 2 minutes further along the road, we came upon a gorgeous lighthouse and the 'proper' beach!! Typical!!!- By this time however, it was a bit hot for sunbathing, and seeing as though we weren't really dressed appropriately, we decided to carry on our journey.
Checked into our next hotel at half 4 - the Rodd Mill River. Fab room - upgraded to the deluxe, which is overlooking the golf course (so no walking around without the hotel bathrobe!!) 5 minutes after unpacking, we were in the swimming pool - which is the best so far - complete with a 90ft slide!
Its just so quiet around here - bit like being at Mark and Karol Ann's!! Still, there are lots of activities to do, so I'm sure we'll have fun! No phone signal again - we did get one for about half an hour on the way - it just depends where you are!
Oh - an update on the money front... finally found a bank this morning, and asked them to ring Barclaycard to authorise a cash advance, which they did. Have now got $200 cash!!! Phew!!
Dinner at the hotel tonight - there doesn't seem to be anywhere else in the immediate vicinity - quite pricey, but beautiful food. Will have to explore the area tomorrow and find somewhere else to eat!!!
