This early morning rising is getting a bit much now!! Why is it I can't stay asleep past half 7??!!
Anyway, we were all up and ready quickly, had breakfast, then decided to hire bikes. It was a toss up between renting for an hour, or a whole day... the hour won!! Last night we had a terrible storm at bedtime, which is why all the internet went down (its still down in our room!) - so it was a nice surprise that the weather was warm and sunny again!
Headed off on our bikes (pics to follow - lol..) and followed the Confederation Trail for half an hour, along paths, trails, through woods etc etc - so nice, then back tracked so we would be back on time!! Have to say my bum and legs kill now!!!
Once recovered enough to continue on with our day, we jumped in the car and did some exploring of the island. We stopped at a few red sand beaches on the way, which were literally deserted - where is everyone?? This journey took a couple of hours - nothing on the way which resembled MacDonalds, Burger King or a shopping mall - this was real Canada. I think the girls are getting scared - what are they going to spend the rest of their money on... and as for presents, at this rate you'll all be getting something from the airport on the way home!! Having said all that tongue in cheek - we adore this place!!
Once back to the hotel, we jumped in the pool, had a shower and went for another walk along the Baywalk. (A path which takes you from one end of the sea front to the other) Dinner at the hotel again (there isn't a huge amount of choice around here - if you exclude the usual fast food places!) another lovely meal though - so not complaining! I am a bit worried about the fact that I can't withdraw cash from any of my credit cards, or switch card - don't know why. Keep trying and it just declines me!!! Down to my last $80 - so will have to find a bank soon!!

Oh goodness! No cash. Let us know if we can do anything to help. We don't want you going cold turkey when you do finally see some shops (esp. quilting shops LOL)
Sounds like a nice place - can't wait to see some photos!
lots of love from all of us x
