And so its onto Charlottetown today - (via Tim Horton's for breakfast!!!)
We arrived at 12ish and guess what, found a shopping mall!!! We're definitely in the land of living again here - I can see Mac Donalds, Wendy's, Burger King and Dairy Queen, all with 100 metres of each other!!! Of course had to do the usual bit of 'shopping', before going to Wendy's for lunch (yuk) and checking in to our hotel.
The hotel room is great - very nice bathroom, 2 queen sized beds, the usual coffee machine (mmm), tv, etc etc. Checked out the pool, and the fitness room - seem good, then decided to go to downtown Charlottetown to explore.
ITS GORGEOUS!!!! Everything about it is just lovely, the quayside and marina, the streets, the houses, the shops and its so unspoilt. (No fast food places in downtown!) We walked to University Avenue to find the webcam - and stood there waving, much to the amusement of passers by!! Glad some of you were able to spot us. We'll try again another day - for anyone who missed the excitement!!!!
When we got back to the hotel, the girls went swimming, while I stayed in the fitness room - it seemed the better option as the water was cold apparently!!
Out for dinner down the road, then got lost on the way back - why do places seem so different when its dark. 1 km took nearly half an hour!!!!
Feel so tired tonight - so please excuse any spelling errors, my fingers aren't working!
