Saturday 4th August

Finally able to update our blog today (Sunday), as the wireless connection in our room seems to have disappeared!!
Up early this morning (hehe) and out for breakfast to The Great Canadian Bagel - where we had lovely bagels!!! Then it was back to the hotel, where we packed and checked out. The storm which was threatened last night never materialised - and today its very humid and overcast, so no doubt the storm will descend later!
We had a great drive to PEI - over the Confederation Bridge, which is amazing. Just a shame it was too misty to see much! Once over the bridge, we stopped at the visitor centre for ice-cream and collected more leaflets!
The drive to Summerside was gorgeous - practically empty roads and so very rural. This place is stunning even though we've not explored yet! One thing I have noticed everywhere we've driven, is people aren't interested in breaking the speed limits -they drive at exactly the correct speed (except us, as I'm still not sure what the speed limit is on some of the roads!!).
Our new hotel is fab - and overlooks the marina. Its a tiny place -and they call it a city. In fact its the 2nd biggest town in PEI!!!! I don't think the shopping will be up to much here!
Once checked in, we went into the fitness room, then into the pool (very warm), followed by showers, a walk up and down the Baywalk, and dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Shattered after all that, so it was back to the room, to watch a film - Stuart Little (marvellous!!) and then bed!!!
Absolutely no phone signal here - don't know if its just in this little town, or everywhere, - so anyone who's tried texting us - we're sorry, we've not received anything and obviously can't send any!!!
Can't update photo's as this is the general computer for all guests to use - but will try again tomorrow!!
